Yes! That's the best way to start. Any program can start very gently with minimal weights, and slowly progress up. No matter where you start, the most important thing is to...start

Can I do this in my own time?

That's the best way! Many people exercise at home on their own schedule. The full program is entirely self-paced and can be done morning, afternoon, or evening

Can I begin a strength training program at any age?

Yes! There is no reason why most people can't start strength training at a level appropriate for them and reap the enormous benefits. People in their 80s and 90s can even do this

I have some injuries, can I still do this?

As long as you are mindful of where your injuries are, those parts of the body should be avoided. There are nearly always ways to work around any unique concerns, but of course it's not advisable to strenuously exercise any part of the body which is injured or causing you pain

What equipment do I need?

If you are doing this at home, you will only need 2 dumbbells (can start at a very light weight) and an exercise mat. That's it!

Is this about becoming a bodybuilder?

Absolutely not! It's about getting stronger and healthier and also getting into better shape and experiencing the enormous metabolic and mental health benefits of additional muscle mass

What is strength building?

Please don't be intimidated by the terms "strength training" or " muscle strengthening". This is not about becoming the best athlete in the world. It's simply about building up your strength so that you stay strong and healthy for a very long time.
